Dal 6 al 10 marzo, il vCROI, un CROI tutto virtuale. Chi può iscriversi pagando i 650 dollari della registrazione può avere accesso alla piattaforma e vedere il programma e i contenuti del congresso, che saranno resi pubblici, ma non prima di mesi (forse sei).
Se qualcuno pubblicherà qualche materiale interessante, forse farò dei post. Ma non mi piace rimasticare il lavoro di altri, quindi dubito di riuscire a fare un lavoro anche solo lontanamente paragonabile a quello dei begli anni in cui il CROI era per tutti. Aspetterò di leggere gli articoli, quando usciranno.

Week 96 findings from the ATLAS-2M study evaluating investigational long-acting cabotegravir and rilpivirine administered every 2-months compared to once-monthly for the treatment of HIV-1: The ATLAS-2M study was designed to assess the non-inferiority and safety of long-acting cabotegravir and rilpivirine administered every 2-months compared to its once-monthly administration for treatment of HIV-1. The two-year findings to be presented at CROI 2021 will include cabotegravir and rilpivirine’s efficacy, safety and tolerability data, consistent with the previous 48-week data presentation.

Week 48 renal and bone outcomes from investigational long-acting cabotegravir and rilpivirine administered every 2-months and once-monthly across ATLAS and ATLAS-2M for the treatment of HIV-1: The phase III development program of long-acting cabotegravir and rilpivirine was designed to demonstrate the regimen’s efficacy and safety when dosed once-monthly in ATLAS and every 2-months in ATLAS-2M for HIV treatment. Findings to be presented at CROI 2021 will provide further insights into renal and bone-specific outcomes among study participants.

PK and resistance data from the global HPTN 083* study evaluating cabotegravir as an investigational HIV prevention drug: The HPTN 083 study was designed to compare the efficacy and safety of every 2-month, long-acting, injectable cabotegravir to daily oral PrEP among MSM and TGW. Findings to be presented at CROI 2021 will provide additional information about seroconverters, PK, and resistance.

Proof-of-concept findings from the phase IIa study of the maturation inhibitor GSK3640254 (GSK’254): The phase IIa proof-of-concept study was designed to evaluate the antiviral activity, safety, and tolerability of the once-daily maturation inhibitor GSK’254 in adults living with HIV-1. At CROI 2021, Gilead will share new findings on daily and long-acting HIV prevention and treatment strategies, as well as updates from the company’s continued pursuit of a cure for HIV.

Insights from Gilead’s cure research program include new data on vesatolimod, an investigational toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) agonist, as well as analyses of analytical treatment interruption studies using mathematical modelling techniques and approaches for assessing broadly neutralizing antibodies (bNAbs) sensitivity.

HIV treatment research includes long-term data from two Phase 3 studies (Study 1489 and Study 1490) that demonstrated the safety and efficacy profile of the once-daily, single tablet regimen, Biktarvy® (bictegravir 50 mg/emtricitabine 200 mg/tenofovir alafenamide 25 mg tablets, B/F/TAF) compared with dolutegravir (DTG)-containing regimens for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in treatment-naïve adults. Understanding factors that affect viral rebound timing during ART interruption will accelerate efforts toward inducing sustained HIV remission. Mio grado di conoscenze vadano più che bene. Difficile prendere cantonate, anche perché le necessità sono di apprendere i contenuti non da ricercatore, ma da persona che vuole apprendere gli sviluppi della ricerca.


Inoltre più leggi articoli, più confronti fonti diverse, più riconosci le bufale.

Vedo comunque che il tuo livello di conoscenza è molto alto, sei nell’ambito medico o similare?

Secondo me in tutto il sito, sei tra le persone che conoscono ad un livello molto dettagliato cosa accade nella ricerca, al punto da pensare che tu in qualche modo conosca a livello quasi lavorativo. Nelle descrizioni e nei report si evince una conoscenza che necessita di testi universitari..
